Target Information
Vinculin (VCL)은 세포 간 및 세포-세포외 기질의 부착 접합(adherens junction)에 관련된 세포골격 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 F-actin을 세포막에 고정하는 여러 상호작용 단백질 중 하나로 작용합니다. 인테그린의 베타 소단위는 탈린(talin)에 결합하고, 탈린은 빈쿨린(vinculin)에 결합하며, 빈쿨린은 알파-액티닌(alpha-actinin) 및 자기 자신과 상호작용할 수 있습니다. 알파-액티닌이 액틴 필라멘트를 교차 결합하므로, 빈쿨린은 세포외 기질과 세포질 미세필라멘트 시스템을 연결하는 핵심 요소로 작용합니다. 이 유전자에 돌연변이가 발생하면 확장성 심근병증 1W형 또는 가족성 비후성 심근병증 15형을 유발할 수 있습니다.
