Target Information
Sterol regulatory element-binding proteins (SREBPs)는 기본 helix-loop-helix leucine zipper(bHLH-Zip) 계열의 전사 인자로, 세포 내 지질 및 콜레스테롤 대사를 조절합니다.
SREBP-1a와 SREBP-1c는 동일 유전자의 서로 다른 프로모터에서 전사되며, SREBP-2는 별도의 유전자에서 발현됩니다.
비활성 전구체(약 120 kDa)는 ER 막에 존재하며, 활성화 시 Golgi로 이동 후 절단되어 활성형(60–78 kDa) 전사 인자로 전환됩니다.
간과 지방 조직에서 SREBPs는 지질 및 콜레스테롤 축적에 관여하는 유전자 발현을 유도합니다.
SREBP-1은 주로 중성지방 합성 조절에, SREBP-2는 콜레스테롤 합성 조절에 더 밀접하게 관련되어 있습니다.
