BRCA1 (Breast and Ovarian Cancer Susceptibility Protein 1)
BRCA1은 핵 인산화 단백질로, 유전체 안정성을 유지하고 종양 억제 단백질, DNA 손상 감지 단백질 및 신호 전달 인자들과 함께 BASC(BRCA1-associated genome surveillance complex)를 형성하여 종양 억제 기능을 수행합니다.
BRCA1은 RNA polymerase II 및 histone deacetylase 복합체와 상호작용하며, 전사 조절, 이중가닥 DNA 손상 수리 및 재조합에 관여합니다.
BRCA1 유전자 변이는 유전성 유방암의 약 40%, 유전성 유방 및 난소암의 80% 이상과 관련이 있습니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이가 보고되어 있으며, 일부는 질병 관련 돌연변이로 확인되었습니다.
