This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Hippostasin, also known as KLK11, is a kallikrein-like serine protease with two alternatively spliced isoforms: brain-type and prostate-type. It plays roles in the prostate, including reproductive and tumorigenic functions. Elevated serum levels of KLK11 are found in 70% of women with ovarian cancer and 60% of men with prostate cancer. Analysis of the KLK11 biomarker in serum may aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of ovarian and prostatic carcinoma.
