Target Information
ALDH2는 aldehyde dehydrogenase 단백질군에 속하며, 알코올 대사의 주요 산화 경로에서 두 번째 효소로 작용합니다. 이 효소는 간에서 cytosolic 및 mitochondrial 두 가지 주요 이소형으로 존재하며, 전기영동 이동도, 반응 속도, 세포 내 위치에 따라 구분됩니다.
백인 대부분은 두 가지 이소형을 모두 가지지만, 약 50%의 아시아인은 mitochondrial 이소형이 결여되어 있으며, 이로 인해 급성 알코올 중독 빈도가 더 높을 수 있습니다.
