Target Information
BATF is a nuclear basic leucine zipper protein belonging to the AP-1/ATF superfamily of transcription factors.
- Mediates dimerization with members of the Jun family.
- Acts as a negative regulator of AP-1/ATF transcriptional events.
- Inhibits cellular transformation by Ras and Fos.
- Required for differentiation of IL-17-producing T helper (TH17) cells.
- Essential for regulation of class-switch recombination in T and B cells.
