This antibody is a monoclonal mixture of FITC-conjugated CD3 (clone M2AB, isotype IgG1) and PE-conjugated CD19 (clone 1G9, isotype IgG1).

Target Information

The CD3 complex is crucial for transducing antigen-recognition signals into the cytoplasm of T cells and regulating the surface expression of the TCR complex. T cell activation involves the cytoplasmic tails of the CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta), which are members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded on human chromosome 11. CD3 subunits associate with cytoplasmic signal transduction molecules through a double tyrosine-based motif. CD3 may play roles in TCR-induced growth arrest, cell survival, and proliferation. It is expressed on 68–82% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes and 65–85% of thymocytes, but not on B or NK cells.

The CD19 molecule is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells. It may also be expressed on myeloid leukemia cells, particularly of monocytic lineage. CD19 is an important regulator of normal and malignant B cell proliferation and is expressed in all B cell precursor leukemias.
