Target Information
Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for rat immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target antibodies.
Secondary antibodies provide increased versatility for various detection systems such as HRP, AP, or fluorescence, and enhance sensitivity through signal amplification since multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Most secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and may be further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to produce highly specific reagents.
