Glycophorin C (GYPC)는 적혈구 막의 통합형 당단백질로, 적혈구의 기계적 안정성 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 다양한 GYPC 유전적 변이가 보고되었으며, Gerbich 및 Yus 표현형은 각각 엑손 3과 2의 결실로 인해 발생합니다. Webb 및 Duch 항원(일명 glycophorin D)은 단일 점 돌연변이에 의해 생성됩니다. GYPC 단백질은 glycophorin A 및 B와의 상동성이 매우 낮습니다.
