Galactokinase(GALK1)는 갈락토오스 대사에 관여하는 주요 효소로, 결핍 시 선천성 백내장을 유발할 수 있습니다.
GALK1 서열은 E. coli의 대응 단백질과 44.5%의 서열 동일성을, 인간 GALK2 단백질과는 34.6%의 아미노산 동일성을 보입니다.
