Target Information
The Myb family of transcription factors, including A-, B-, and c-Myb genes, regulate differentiation, cellular growth, and gene expression.
c-Myb plays an essential role in hematopoietic cell proliferation and differentiation.
MYBBP1A is a nuclear protein localized mainly in nucleoli, initially identified as a c-Myb-interacting protein.
It associates with multiple transcription factors, including AhR, enhancing AhR-dependent gene expression.
MYBBP1A also acts as a negative regulator of PGC-1α via p38 MAPK and functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein using CRM1-dependent and independent pathways.
