Target Information
Endothelial cell-specific molecule 1 (ESM1) is a secreted protein encoded by the ESM1 gene in humans.
It is predominantly expressed in endothelial cells of the lung and kidney.
Expression is regulated by cytokines and may play a role in endothelium-dependent pathological disorders.
The transcript contains multiple polyadenylation and mRNA instability signals, and two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
