Target Information
CD55 (decay-accelerating factor, DAF)는 GPI-앵커형 막 당단백질로, 자가 세포를 보체 경로로부터 보호합니다. CD55와 CD97의 상호작용은 T세포 조절에 관여하며, CD55는 CD97과 결합 시 보체 조절 기능을 수행합니다.
CD55는 70 kDa의 당단백질로, 적혈구에서는 GPI 꼬리로 막에 고정되어 있으며, 다른 세포에서는 더 큰 분자량과 높은 O-당화 수준을 가집니다. CD55는 활성화된 C4b 또는 C3b 보체 단편에 결합하여 보체 경로의 조립을 방지하고 분해를 촉진합니다.
이 단백질은 Cromer 관련 혈액형 항원을 운반하며, 두 가지 전사 변이체가 존재합니다. 주요 변이체는 막 결합형 단백질을 암호화하며, 혈장 단백질에 노출된 세포에서 발현됩니다. 또 다른 변이체는 낮은 수준의 가용성 단백질을 생성합니다.
