Target Information
CAZIP, also known as TIP150, contains a leucine-zipper domain at the C-terminus and has at least three isoforms. It is expressed in the heart during early cardiac development and in parts of the nervous system during later embryonic development. CAZIP is thought to bind microtubules and facilitate EB1-dependent loading of MCAK onto microtubule plus ends, orchestrating dynamics at the plus end of microtubules. It may regulate microtubule dynamics at their growing distal tip.
