Target Information
FEN-1 (Flap Endonuclease and Five prime Exonuclease)은 42 kDa 단백질로, 5' 플랩을 포함한 가지형 DNA 구조를 절단하는 엔도뉴클레아제 또는 DNA 닉 및 갭에서 작용하는 엑소뉴클레아제로 기능합니다.
FEN-1의 활성이 핵 내의 PCNA(proliferating cell nuclear antigen)와의 결합에 의해 촉진됩니다.
DNA 복제 및 수선 과정에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 세포 추출 기반의 DNA 복제 시스템에서 필수적입니다.
