Target Information
Hyaluronan (HA) 또는 hyaluronic acid는 고분자량의 비분지 다당류로, 박테리아부터 포유류까지 다양한 생물에서 합성되며 세포외기질의 주요 성분입니다. HA는 glucuronic acid와 N-acetylglucosamine 잔기가 β-1,3 및 β-1,4 글리코시드 결합으로 연결되어 있습니다. 세포막 내면에서 막 결합형 synthase에 의해 합성되어 세포외 공간으로 방출되며, 조직 내에서 공간 충전, 관절 윤활, 세포 이동 매트릭스 제공 등의 기능을 수행합니다. 상처 치유 및 조직 재생 과정에서 혈관 및 섬유아세포 증식을 위한 구조체로 활발히 생성됩니다. 혈청 HA 농도 변화는 류머티즘성 관절염 등 염증성·퇴행성 관절 질환과 관련이 있습니다. 또한 HA와 CD44 수용체의 상호작용은 백혈구의 조직 특이적 이동에 중요하며, HA 수용체 과발현은 종양 전이와 연관되어 있습니다. HAS2는 척추동물에서 새로 확인된 hyaluronan synthase 유전자군의 구성원으로, Xenopus laevis의 glycosaminoglycan synthetase (DG42) 및 인간·마우스 hyaluronan synthase 1과 높은 상동성을 보입니다.
