• Reconstitution:
  Reconstitute with 50 µL or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size.
  The antibody is shipped lyophilized at room temperature.
  Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
  Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
  For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
  Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
  Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

TMEM38A and TMEM38B are trimeric intracellular cation (TRIC) channel subtypes.
TMEM38A is preferentially expressed in excitable tissues such as striated muscle and brain, localizing to the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR).
Mice lacking both TMEM38A and TMEM38B show embryonic cardiac failure, with impaired SR Ca²⁺ handling and reduced K⁺ permeability, suggesting TRIC channels act as counter-ion channels synchronizing with Ca²⁺ release.
TMEM38A and TMEM38B may interact with junctophilin proteins to support ryanodine receptor-mediated Ca²⁺ release in muscle cells.
