Target Information
RBM35A, also known as ESRP1, is an mRNA splicing factor that, together with ESRP2 (RBM35B), coordinates an epithelial cell-type-specific splicing program.
It contains three RNA recognition motifs and binds specific mRNA sequences, regulating posttranscriptional expression of genes such as FGFR2, CD44, CTNND1, and ENAH.
Recent studies suggest RBM35A may also act as a novel tumor suppressor.
