STING (Stimulator of Interferon Genes, TMEM173)은 선천 면역 신호전달의 핵심 구성 요소로, NF-κB 및 IRF3 전사 경로를 활성화하여 Type I 인터페론(IFN-α, IFN-β) 발현을 유도합니다. STING은 세포 내 바이러스 RNA 및 B형 DNA를 감지하며, MHC-II 복합체와의 상호작용을 통해 세포사멸 신호전달에도 관여합니다. 주로 소포체막, 세포막, 미토콘드리아 외막에 존재하며 대부분의 조직에서 발현됩니다.
