Product Specific Information
MA5-15915 targets DLK1 in indirect ELISA, FACS, IF, and WB applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human DLK1 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15915 detects DLK1, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 41 kDa.
Target Information
The Delta-like 1 homolog (DLK1) is a transmembrane protein containing six epidermal growth factor repeats. It is involved in the differentiation of several cell types, including adipocytes, and is also thought to function as a tumor suppressor.
The DLK1 gene is one of several imprinted genes located on chromosome 14q32; mutations in this region can cause phenotypes similar to maternal and paternal uniparental disomy of chromosome 14 (UPD14).
DLK1 is expressed from the paternal allele, and a polymorphism within this gene has been associated with childhood and adolescent obesity.
Usage Note
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
