This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

Caspase 14 encodes a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family, which plays a central role in the execution phase of cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes that undergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues to form active enzymes.
Caspase 14 is processed and activated by caspase 8 and 10 in vitro, and by anti-Fas agonist antibody or TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand in vivo.
Its expression and processing may be involved in keratinocyte terminal differentiation, important for skin barrier formation.
