Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Viperin (RSAD2) is a 43 kDa interferon-inducible protein involved in antiviral defense mechanisms. Its expression is induced by LPS and poly I:C through TLR-dependent pathways, and by Sendai virus through RLRs (RIG-I and MAVs). Viperin plays a crucial role in interferon-mediated antiviral activity, particularly in Hepatitis C virus models. It is highly expressed in lymphoid cells, dendritic cells, neutrophils, and macrophages during acute viral infections. Detection of Viperin serves as a valuable marker for studying interferon responsiveness and antiviral mechanisms.
