The Human SARS-CoV-2 RBD Ig Total Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures anti-SARS-CoV-2 RBD antibodies in serum and plasma.
The detector antibody is an Immunoglobulin (Ig) Total antibody directly conjugated to phycoerythrin (PE) that cross-reacts with all Ig (IgG, IgM, and IgA) in serum and plasma. IgG is the most abundant of the immunoglobulins.

This kit is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits from the Coronavirus Panel, allowing creation of custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one Viral Reagent kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate regardless of plex size.

ProcartaPlex Assay 특징

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles using two specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of a protein.
Up to 80 protein targets can be quantified simultaneously using FLEXMAP 3D or Luminex 200 instruments, and up to 50 targets using MAGPIX.
Assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and results can be obtained within four hours.

기술 개요

Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic beads are internally dyed with red and infrared fluorophores to create 100 unique spectral signatures identifiable by Luminex xMAP systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Each bead is conjugated with specific antibodies for one target protein. Bound proteins are detected using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Unlike traditional ELISA, ProcartaPlex assays use magnetic beads with free-floating reagents, improving efficiency and multiplexing capability.
