Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the keratin family, which includes intermediate filament proteins essential for the structural integrity of epithelial cells. Keratins are divided into cytokeratins and hair keratins.
Type I cytokeratins are acidic proteins forming heterotypic pairs with type II keratins. Cytokeratin 20 is a major protein in mature enterocytes and goblet cells, specifically expressed in gastric and intestinal mucosa.
Type I cytokeratin genes are clustered on chromosome 17q12–q21.
