Target Information
MRPL23는 포유류 미토콘드리아 리보솜 단백질로, 핵 유전자에 의해 암호화되어 미토콘드리아 내 단백질 합성에 관여합니다. 미토리보솜은 28S 소단위와 39S 대단위로 구성되며, 단백질 대 rRNA 비율이 약 75%로, 원핵 리보솜과는 반대입니다. 포유류 미토리보솜은 5S rRNA를 포함하지 않으며, 종에 따라 단백질 서열과 생화학적 특성이 크게 달라 서열 상동성으로 식별하기 어렵습니다. MRPL23은 39S 단위체 단백질을 암호화하며, 염색체 11의 각인 유전자 영역 내에 위치하지만 양쪽 대립유전자에서 발현됩니다.
