Product Specific Information
HYB 249-10-02 detects Gc-Globulin in human samples.
It has been successfully used in ELISA and Western blotting techniques and reacts strongly with Gc-globulin.
Strong reaction is observed in ELISA with Gc-globulin coated directly onto the microtiter plate and in sandwich ELISA when combined with a polyclonal antibody against Gc-globulin.
In Western blotting after SDS-PAGE, HYB 249-10-02 reacts with Gc-globulin in both reduced and unreduced forms.
The immunogen is Gc-Globulin isolated from human plasma.
Epitope specificity of HYB 249-10-02 differs from that of HYB 249-01-02, HYB 249-02-02, and HYB 249-05-02.
Target Information
GC (vitamin D-binding protein) is involved in:
- Vitamin D transport and storage
- Scavenging of extracellular G-actin
- Enhancement of chemotactic activity of C5α for neutrophils during inflammation
- Macrophage activation
