Product Specific Information
- Antibody is tested in direct ELISA.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Uroplakin 1A is a component of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM), a specialized biomembrane elaborated by terminally differentiated urothelial cells. It may play an important role in normal bladder epithelial physiology, potentially regulating membrane permeability of superficial umbrella cells or stabilizing the apical membrane through AUM/cytoskeletal interactions.
