NPM1 (Nucleophosmin 1, B23, nutramin, NO38)는 리보솜 조립 및 운반, 세포질/핵 간 이동, DNA polymerase α 활성 조절, 중심체 복제, p53 조절 등에 관여하는 인산화 단백질입니다.
NPM1은 핵, 세포질, 핵소체 사이를 지속적으로 이동하며, 핵소체 내에서 히스톤을 보호하고 단백질 응집을 방지하는 샤페론 역할을 수행합니다.
또한 NPM1은 여러 종양 관련 융합 단백질(NPM-ALK, NPM-RAR, NPM-MLF1)의 구성 요소로 알려져 있으며, 급성 골수성 백혈병 및 림프종과 같은 질병과 관련이 있습니다.
