This antibody detects endogenous levels of total ARHGEF7.
Target Information
The serine/threonine kinase p21-activated kinase (PAK) acts downstream of the small GTPases Cdc42 and Rac. PAK interacts with Nck, PI3-kinase subunits (p85 and p110), and PIX (PAK-interacting exchange factor) within focal complexes. PIX binding is essential for PAK localization and activation in the Cdc42–Rac signaling pathway, mediated by the SH3 domain of PIX recognizing a conserved proline-rich sequence in PAK. PIX exists as two isoforms, alpha and beta, both highly expressed in heart, muscle, and thymus tissues in humans and rats. The alphaPIX isoform functions primarily as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) on Rac, contributing to lamellipodia formation and is regulated by PDGF and EphB2 receptor signaling or PI3-kinase association.
