Product #31840 has been successfully used in Western blot, IF, ICC, IHC, and ISH applications.
This antibody reacts with the heavy chains of sheep IgG and the light chains common to most sheep immunoglobulins, but does not react against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins.
Cross-reactivity: bovine IgG, goat IgG (50%), sheep IgM (6%), bovine IgM, goat IgM (3%), guinea pig IgG, horse IgG (1%), minimal cross-reactivity with other species.
Target Information
Anti-Sheep secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for ovine (sheep) immunoglobulins.
They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins.
Secondary antibodies enhance versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
These antibodies are typically generated by immunizing host animals with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, conjugation) to produce highly specific reagents.
