Target Information
Classical swine fever (CSF) is an acute and highly contagious disease in swine, causing significant damage to the swine industry. CSF leads to disseminated hemorrhage in systemic organs and tissues, and degeneration and necrosis in small vascular and capillary endothelial cells. Classical swine fever virus (CSFV) belongs to the genus Pestivirus, family Flaviviridae, with a genome length of approximately 12.3 Kb, encoding 11 structural and nonstructural proteins.
