Target Information
TCF-9 (Transcription Factor 9), also known as C2orf3, GCF, or DNABF, is a 781-amino acid nuclear protein belonging to the GCF family. It binds GC-rich sequences of beta-Actin, EGFR, and CANP promoters. GCF contains multiple phosphoserine and phosphothreonine residues, and two isoforms are generated by alternative splicing. It is considered a candidate gene for dyslexia susceptibility (DYX3) located on human chromosome 2, which encodes over 1,400 genes and constitutes approximately 8% of the human genome.
