Target Information
Nucleoside diphosphate kinase B is an enzyme encoded by the NME2 gene in humans. It functions as part of a hexameric complex with isoforms encoded by NME1 (A) and NME2 (B). Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, all encoding the same isoform. Co-transcription with the neighboring gene NME1 produces naturally occurring fusion transcripts (NME1-NME2), resulting in a protein sharing sequence identity with both gene products.
