Target Information
The Hedgehog signaling pathway plays an important role in early human development. It functions as a signaling cascade regulating pattern formation and cellular proliferation. This gene encodes a negative regulator of the hedgehog signaling pathway, and defects in this gene are associated with medulloblastoma. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
