Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Neurofilaments (NFs) are intermediate filaments expressed almost exclusively in neuronal cells, particularly in large axons. They are composed of three subunits: neurofilament medium (NF-M), high (NF-H), and light (NF-L) proteins.
These subunits share a coiled-coil core domain but differ in terminal sequences, influencing cytoskeletal architecture and axon size.
NF-M phosphorylation and O-GlcNAcylation regulate filament formation and function.
Antibodies against neurofilament subunits serve as valuable neuronal markers due to their high abundance, neuron-specific expression, and biochemical stability.
