Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The CDH17 gene belongs to the cadherin superfamily, encoding calcium-dependent, membrane-associated glycoproteins. The encoded protein is cadherin-like, consisting of an extracellular region with seven cadherin domains and a transmembrane region but lacking the conserved cytoplasmic domain.
CDH17 is expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and pancreatic ducts, acting as an intestinal proton-dependent peptide transporter involved in the absorption of peptide-based drugs. It may also play a role in the morphological organization of the liver and intestine. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
