Target Information

The P2X4 receptor belongs to the purinoceptor family for ATP and functions as a ligand-gated ion channel with high calcium permeability. It has the lowest sensitivity to antagonists such as suramin and PPADS among purinoceptor family members. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified, though their full-length sequences are not fully determined.
