This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

Enolase (2-phosphoglycerate hydrolyase or phosphopyruvate hydrates) is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate. It consists of three distinct subunits: alpha, beta, and gamma.

ENO1 (Non-Neuronal Enolase):

• Isoform composed of two alpha subunits
• Also encodes tau-crystallin, a structural lens protein
• Multifunctional enzyme involved in glycolysis, growth control, hypoxia tolerance, and allergic responses
• Functions as a receptor and activator of plasminogen on cell surfaces, contributing to fibrinolytic processes
• Stimulates immunoglobulin production

Clinical relevance:

• Diagnostic marker for various tumors
• Alpha/gamma heterodimer form is a marker for hypoxic brain injury after cardiac arrest
• Marker for endometriosis
• Autoantigen in cancer-associated retinopathy syndrome (CAR) and Hashimoto encephalopathy (HE)
• Associated with Hashimoto thyroiditis (HT), leading to hypothyroidism
