CD235a (Glycophorin A, GPA)는 성숙 적혈구와 적혈구 전구세포에서 발현되는 단일 통과 막당단백질(sialoglycoprotein)입니다.
혈액형 M 및 N 특이성을 매개하며, 세포 융합을 방지하고 적혈구 간 응집을 최소화하는 점막 유사 구조를 제공합니다.
또한 CD235a는 Sandei virus, parvovirus, Streptococcus adhesin (Hsa)의 수용체로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
