Target Information
Aminopeptidase P is a hydrolase specific for N-terminal imido bonds, found in collagen degradation products, neuropeptides, vasoactive peptides, and cytokines. The enzyme belongs to the pita bread fold family and exists in mammalian tissues as both soluble and GPI-anchored membrane-bound forms. These forms are encoded by two separate genes.
