Polymyxin B Sulfate is produced by Bacillus polymyxa. Polymyxin B Sulfate works by binding to the cellular membrane and interfering with its permeability. Gibco™ Polymyxin B Sulfate is used for the prevention of bacterial contamination of cell cultures. This antibiotic is highly active against gram-negative bacteria. The recommended working concentration is 100 units/ml. We offer a variety of antibiotics and antimycotics for cell culture applications.
