For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform another round of desalting (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Protein kinases are enzymes that transfer a phosphate group from a phosphate donor, generally the γ phosphate of ATP, onto an acceptor amino acid in a substrate protein.
By this mechanism, protein kinases mediate most of the signal transduction in eukaryotic cells, regulating:

• Cellular metabolism
• Transcription
• Cell cycle progression
• Cytoskeletal rearrangement and cell movement
• Apoptosis and differentiation

With more than 500 gene products, the protein kinase family is one of the largest in eukaryotes.
They are classified into 8 major groups based on sequence comparison of tyrosine (PTK) or serine/threonine (STK) kinase catalytic domains.
The AGC kinase group includes 63 kinases such as:

• Cyclic nucleotide-regulated protein kinases (PKA & PKG)
• Diacylglycerol-activated/phospholipid-dependent protein kinases (PKC)
• RAC/Akt protein kinases
• Kinases that phosphorylate G protein-coupled receptors (ARK)
• Kinases that phosphorylate ribosomal protein S6 (RSK)
