H3 Histamine Receptor는 노르에피네프린과 소마토스타틴의 신경전달물질 방출을 조절합니다.
히스타민을 포함한 뇌 뉴런에서는 presynaptic autoreceptor로, 비히스타민 뉴런에서는 presynaptic heteroreceptor로 작용합니다.
대체 스플라이싱을 통해 여러 isoform이 생성되며, 주로 뇌에서 발현됩니다.
정상 및 암 조직(뇌, 유방암, 대장암, 망막모세포종) 라이브러리에서 EST가 분리된 바 있습니다.
