Product Specific Information

  • Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family, which has broad mitogenic and cell survival activities. FGF family members are involved in embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion.
FGF23 inhibits renal tubular phosphate transport. Mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal dominant hypophosphatemic rickets and familial tumoral calcinosis with hyperphosphatemia. Elevated FGF23 expression has been observed in oncogenic hypophosphatemic osteomalacia, a disorder of phosphate metabolism.
