Product Specific Information

The MIH5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse B7-H1, also known as PD-L1. B7-H1 is a member of the B7 family with a molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa and belongs to the Ig superfamily. It is expressed on T, B, NK, and DC cells and acts as a ligand for PD-1. The interaction between PD-1 and PD-L1 or PD-L2 inhibits T and B cell responses. MIH5 is reported to be a blocking antibody.

Used in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended use ≤ 0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration is advised for best assay performance.

Fluorophore Characteristics:
Alexa Fluor 660 emits at 690 nm and is suitable for spectral cytometers.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds PD-1, negatively regulating T-cell receptor signaling. PD-L1 reduces TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. Expression is abundant on murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-γ, suggesting a role in tumor immune evasion.
