Target Information

SENP8 (Cysteine protease FKSG8; DEN1; FKSG8; HsT17512; NEDP1; PRSC2; SUMO/sentrin specific protease family member 8)는 ULP family에 속하는 새로운 cysteine protease로, NEDD8 경로를 조절하는 주요 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 preNEDD8을 성숙 형태로 처리하고, Cullins 및 p53과 같은 기질로부터 NEDD8을 제거합니다. SENP8은 과도한 neddylated cullin의 축적을 방지하고 mono-neddylated cullin 수준을 유지하여 SCF ubiquitin ligase의 효율적 작용에 기여할 수 있습니다.
