CASTOR2와의 이합체 또는 동종이합체로 GATOR2 서브컴플렉스를 결합 및 억제하여 mTORC1을 조절합니다.
아르기닌이 CASTOR1에 결합하면 CASTOR1 이합체와 GATOR2 간 상호작용이 붕괴되어 mTORC1 및 TORC1 신호 경로가 활성화됩니다.
