This antibody detects endogenous levels of NF-kB p65 only when phosphorylated at Serine 468.
Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene located on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel family of proteins. NF-kB p65 forms a heterodimer with subunits p50 or p52, playing a central role in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses. Upon TNF-alpha binding to its receptor, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its degradation and subsequent activation of NF-kB p65, which translocates to the nucleus to regulate gene transcription, including immunoglobulin kappa (κ) gene expression in B-lymphoid cells.
