For IHC applications, perform heat-mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer (pH 6) prior to staining.
In Western blot applications, this antibody detects a band at approximately 53 kDa (hnRNP F, predicted 49.8 kDa) and 56 kDa (hnRNP H, predicted 53.9 kDa).

Target Information

This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). These RNA-binding proteins form complexes with heterogeneous nuclear RNA and are involved in pre-mRNA processing, including alternative splicing, polyadenylation, and mRNA transport.
While most hnRNPs are nuclear, some shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid-binding properties. The encoded protein contains three quasi-RRM domains that bind guanosine-rich RNA sequences and is closely related to hnRNP H. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
