Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have diverse functions, including transcriptional activation and repression. Most zinc-finger proteins feature Kruppel-type DNA binding and KRAB domains that interact with KAP1 to recruit histone-modifying proteins.
ZNF408, a member of the Kruppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, is encoded on human chromosome 11, which includes over 1,400 genes and accounts for nearly 4% of the human genome. Mutations in genes located on chromosome 11 are associated with disorders such as Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome, Jacobsen syndrome, Niemann-Pick disease, hereditary angioedema, and Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome.
